Carta de uma mãe para sua filha.

 “Minha querida menina, no dia que você perceber que estou envelhecendo, eu peço a você para ser paciente, mas acima de tudo, tentar entender pelo o que estarei passando.

Se quando conversarmos, eu repetir a mesma coisa dezenas de vezes, não me interrompa dizendo: “Você disse a mesma coisa um minuto atrás”. Apenas ouça, por favor. Tente se lembrar das vezes quando você era uma criança e eu li a mesma história noite após noite até você dormir.

Quando eu não quiser tomar banho, não se zangue e não me encabule. Lembra de quando você era criança eu tinha que correr atrás de você dando desculpas e tentando colocar você no banho?

Quando você perceber que tenho dificuldades com novas tecnologias, me dê tempo para aprender e não me olhe daquele jeito...lembre-se, querida, de como eu pacientemente ensinei a você muitas coisas, como comer direito, vestir-se, arrumar seu cabelo e lhe dar com os problemas da vida todos os dias...o dia que você ver que estou envelhecendo, eu lhe peço para ser paciente, mas acima de tudo, tentar entender pelo o que estarei passando.

Se eu ocasionalmente me perder em uma conversa, dê-me tempo para lembrar e se eu não conseguir, não fique nervosa, impaciente ou arrogante. Apenas lembre-se, em seu coração, que a coisa mais importante para mim é estar com você.

E quando eu envelhecer e minhas pernas não me permitirem andar tão rápido quanto antes, me dê sua mão da mesma maneira que eu lhe ofereci a minha em seus primeiros passos.

Quando este dia chegar, não se sinta triste. Apenas fique comigo e me entenda, enquanto termino minha vida com amor. Eu vou adorar e agradecer pelo tempo e alegria que compartilhamos. Com um sorriso e o imenso amor que sempre tive por você, eu apenas quero dizer, eu te amo minha querida filha.”
